DIVINE PROPORTIONS FOR DIVINE DESIGN

Often, the beauty we perceive in women and men is based on how closely the person’s proportions relate to the dimensions of the Phi number.

Designer handbags handcrafted to mathematical perfection

Designer handbags handcrafted to mathematical perfection

Our designer handbags are made in the traditional way, with the same care and attention to detail practiced for centuries.

Conceptualized by celebrated contemporary designer Adrian Salvador, with 14 carat gold-plated hardware by jeweler Helena Rohner, these designer bags evoke balance and beauty on the deepest level of our perception.

The interpretation of 1.61 and its unique proportions is present throughout not only our design process but our philosophy. Some even believe in the mysticism of the number, and how it connects us with the universe.

Harmony

Our harmoniously crafted Onesixone bags become a blank canvas for an artist to express their unique perspective; a place to transmit elegance of spirit and lightness of being.

Unique

Each luxury bag in our collections is unique and is numbered in a sequence of just 161 units. Each handbag collection is a collaboration with an insightful artist who imparts their vision of harmony and beauty in each bag; complementing the divine proportion and creating a wearable work of art.

Craftmanship

The contemporary design converges with the meticulous craftsmanship of master artisans, using the same techniques since 1752. Each bag includes a “book of art” with the inspiration of the artist that collaborates on the bag collection, their creative process and the genesis of their work.

ONESIXONE brings the language of each artist to life. The creative process plays the star role in the collection; the exploration that occurs beforehand, the development of the concept and the final work. This is the result that allows the artist, the leather craftspeople, the tanners and the designer to celebrate the creation of a collection. Each bag becomes a mirror of the artist ’ s mind, their ideas, their experiences and how they interpret the Onesixone philosophy.

The artist chooses techniques, the materials, colors or shapes and decides whether these items are simply containers or if they contain themselves.

Each handbag collection, each bag, has its own history, its own space. Exploration and inspiration, art, wellness and individuality are the criteria and principles that guide Onesixone. We celebrate the rigorous tradition of high quality craftsmanship and the transmission of emotions through hands.

I think luxury is in a space, in a lifestyle, in an attitude, but not in a golden object or bright gem. At ONESIXONE we integrate different aesthetics; a brutal view with a romantic dream, constructing, therefore, a dialogue between nature and architecture.

Adrian Salvador has amassed an impressive resume of design industry experience between Valencia, London and New York. From fashion designer to curator and now creative director of Onesixone, his years of experience have resulted in a broad knowledge of all aspects of the industry. Adrian travels the world in search of emerging artists to take part as curators of the Onesixone brand during each collection.

He and the chosen artist travel every month to a small town in Andalusia with a centuries-old tradition of leather craftsmanship to work with local artisans, experience the country’s cultural diversity and discover new inspiration for the brand.

My design aesthetic is honesty, in the sense that it doesn’t have to be imposed on the person using it; it is comfort and a perfect fit, or giving it a twist to make it interesting

Born in Palmas de Gran Canaria, Helena Rohner is currently one of Spain’s best-known jewelry creators. Awarded the “Gold Medal for Merit in Fine Arts” by the King of Spain and established in her studio/workshop in Madrid, Helena is responsible for designing the accessories for Onesixone bags. The purity of the lines, the simplicity of the shapes and the original way in which silver combines with materials as impressive as porcelain and wood are characteristic of her aesthetic. She creates pieces that are recognized for their serenity and the strength of the design. Helena’s development in design has been influenced by her environment and by her collaborations with other artists.

The magic of Florence, the vitality of London and the radiance of Madrid are all present in Helena Ronher’s work. These are creations that go beyond the world of jewelers in objects such as stoneware, wood, lamps and, ultimately, in exclusive design for the renowned companies of Georg Jensen, Kahler, Bodum and Munio
